1971 Dodge Charger SE
This classic Dodge Charger SE has been the beneficiary of a careful restoration over a 5-years period. The owner did everything possible to preserve the originally of this sporty SE. The body was carefully prepped, dipped and E-Coated. It was then refinished in 2-stage ‘High Impact Citra Yella’, the factory color. The new black vinyl top is excellent and all chrome/stainless was refinished. The SE was optioned with concealed headlights and 15” MOPAR Rallye Wheels mount new Cooper radial tires. The interior is outstanding – most of the components are the original pieces and virtually everything was refurbished. New black vinyl upholstery was fitted and new carpeting was installed. The dash was sent to ‘Just Dashes’ for resto, all gauges were restored and a new wiring harness was installed. The Dodge is optioned with factory air, tinted glass and console w/shifter. The Charger is powered by what is said to be the original 318ci ‘LA’ engine that has been completely rebuilt to stock specs. Output was factory rated at 230hp with the 2-barrel carburetor. (This 318 had the factory optional N31 high compression code.) A dual exhaust system was installed and it is backed by a fully rebuilt Chrysler 727 TorqueFlite automatic that transfers power to a rebuilt 8-3/4” differential w/3.23:1gearing. The chassis was equipped with power steering and upgraded power disc/drum brakes. All new brake components have been installed. Front suspension is Chrysler’s traditional torsion bar design and leaf springs are used in the rear. There are very few of these Charger SE models around today, fewer still in this condition. This beautiful Dodge would look very stately in your garage.
