1971 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu
In 1964, Chevrolet began production of an automobile that would become a Bowtie legend. The original Chevelle was constructed on a wheelbase not much larger than ‘compact’ cars of that era. However, this Chevy model grew quickly in dimensions and muscle. This second gen 1971 Chevelle Malibu hardtop is not a muscle car in the true sense of the word, but the look of Chevelle muscle cannot be denied. The stunning, garage-kept Malibu has been possessed by one-family since new and is in virtually showroom condition. The Sunflower Gold/Brown exterior is outstanding, as is all chrome/stainless. 15” rally wheels mount BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires in good condition. The original vinyl interior shows very, very little wear – upholstery, headliner, dash and carpets are excellent. Features include cold air conditioning, tinted windows and a premium Kenwood AM/FM/Cassette sound system. Horsepower is furnished by what is said to be a matching numbers a 307ci/2v small-block that has never been rebuilt and sounds wonderful. A 3-speed Turbo Hydramatic transmission provides torque to a factory differential. The clean chassis is fitted with power steering, power-assisted drum brakes, new exhaust and front sway bar. This beautiful Chevelle Malibu hardtop is going to make its new owner very proud.
